I've been known to talk to the tv, though rarely when watching sports. Sometimes I really get into horror and suspense thought, and feel the need to "warn" the characters.

MEN WILL LOVE THIER NIEGHBER OR ELSE ?
IT MIGHT BE HARD TO IMAGINE NOW, BUT GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD, AND ALL LIFE BELONGS TO HIM. AND HE WILL HAVE HIS WAY.
Wow! How threatening. And wacky. I don't see how this is supposed to draw people.

I used to have all sorts of problems sleeping, until I quit caffeine (except for the occasional piece of chocolate). It sounds pretty extreme to all my coffee-drinker friends, but it's made a huge difference, even though when I did drink caffeinated drinks often, I swore it didn't affect my sleep. But the stuff just stays in your system way too long.

What Do You Do To Stay Healthy?
by minimus ini recently went for a check-up and i was told everything was better than "normal".
i exercise for a couple of hours a day about 4 or 5 days per week, especially in the summertime...so far so good.

What type of pasta do you recommend? I've tried corn and it left something to be desired. I do find that I don't miss bread and pasta nearly as much as I thought I would; maybe it's that I feel so much better.
Emma, I found this pasta at my local organics store, and it tastes very much like what pasta (though perhaps a bit lighter). http://www.nottapasta.com/index.cfm
As for what I do to stay heatlhy, the main thing is that I avoid all animal products (One of the benefits for example:there is no cholesterol found in plants). I rarely excercise, though, except when I'm feeling particularly stiff or stressed. When I do, it's free weights and/or yoga - I don't like cardio. I used to play tennis, but have no one to go with now.

Exposing The WT Lies Worldwide In Other Languages
by frankiespeakin in.
i am very curious about the progress we xjw's are making on the internet in exposing the wt in other languages,,i know the french, german, english, and spanish, are well represented on the net,, but what about russian, polish, greek and all the others.
if you have any info on this please share i'm sure all xjws would be happy to know more about this on a world wide scale.. i just have a feeling that this expose is building up momentum, and that the wt is in it's last days which should cause the gb considerable stress.

my homepage - exjt.tk , jehovatanujavoltam.tk - contain a lot of important infos to JW-s
Zoli, nagyon koszonom! (sp?) I've been finding so much great information for ex-JWs in English, which is great for me, but for the most part useless for my parents. If/when I can tell my parents that I've "left the truth" your site will be invaluable! I can speak to my parents in Hungarian about every day topics, but I'm not fluent enough to communicate on an intellectual level. Im so excited now! Maybe there's truth to the belief that information comes to you when you need it most.

Thanks for the welcome
Though I'm no novice to the internet, I don't know why it took me so long to search for sites like this, but it really helps to know that there are others who have gone through similar experiences as me. I haven't posted much, but I wanted to let people know that I really enjoy all of your posts. Thanks!

Curious.......
by cameo indon't know if this has been asked before (and sorry if it has).
this is for all the "born-into" former witnesses:.
if you hadn't been born into the religion, do you think you would have become a witness sometime in your life?
-
senselessly sane
The vast majority of people on this earth are the religion they are because of accident of birth - nothing else - no matter which way you put it. If you were born into a souther baptist family - it is extremely likely that you will grow up to be a southern baptist
I wonder if JWs who grew up with it are more likely or less likely to continue being a witness in adulthood.

I like the sense of humor PETA shows with this type of protest; this reminds me of their ?I?d rather go naked than wear fur? campaign.
Anyway, I?m vegan myself and support the work they do.
Nosferatu, I?ve heard those very arguments before, but they aren?t very effective against vegetarianism/veganism. Yes, field animals are sometimes killed by farming, but unlike factory farming, it isn?t intentional slaughter of thousands of animals. Furthermore, plants must be grown to feed the cows, pigs, and chickens we keep in captivity for food. So if people stopped eating animals, we would need less grain to feed them, and thus would kill fewer field animals.
This is a good link for more info about vegetariansim: http://www.vegsource.com/veg_faq/

I was already growing away from it, but one thing that really helped me was taking two history-based religion courses on the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament (I go to a Catholic college that requires us to take two religion courses). We studied the political and social influences behind what was written; this was in sharp relief to the frequent use of out of context scripture by the WT.
